UK-based ATOME Energy says it is one of very few pure play independent producers listed on the London stock exchange , with its first large-scale production projects planned in Iceland and Paraguay targeting the fast-growing demand for green hydrogen and green ammonia.
From its outlook to the locations of its projects, ATOME has set out to do things slightly differently to the broader hydrogen and ammonia industry, with a view to developing existing infrastructure to meet current demand, to pave the way towards upscaled hydrogen demand in the future.
Olivier Mussat, Chief Executive of ATOME Energy, told H2 View in an exclusive interview, “Our view was to look for reasonably sized projects we could deliver and scale up quickly, which means looking for places with existing green electricity, close to existing infrastructure, and a market to sell the green molecules.”
