With the rise in national policy initiatives, increased investment in projects and access to renewables and natural gas, H2 View’s first event in Asia-Pacific showed hydrogen’s outlook across the continent looks favourable.
Following on from gasworld’s Asia-Pacific Industrial Gases Conference at the Renaissance Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, the event attracted a discerning set of delegates eager to explore hydrogen’s nascent potential – and they weren’t afraid to ask pertinent and, at times, probing questions surrounding its development and scale up.
The opening session made ’The Business Case’ for hydrogen in Asia, and Malaysia in particular.
Natasha Witto, Energy Markets & Strategy Consultant Energy Systems, APAC at DNV, highlighted the ‘big three’ of solar, hydropower and natural gas with carbon capture as key to Asia-Pacific’s hydrogen industry.
