UK-based supermarket chain Asda, a wholly owned subsidiary of Walmart, will soon deploy hydrogen fuel cell solutions across its extensive supply chain network in an effort to reduce its carbon emissions, as part of an agreement with Plug Power.
Announced today, the purchase order agreement includes Plug Power’s full-service GenKey solution, including fuel cells, hydrogen fuelling equipment, hydrogen and service, with operations starting out at a facility in Skelmersdale, UK.
