Hydrogen generator manufacturer AREVA H2Gen has been named as one of this year’s GigaWatt Winners at Energy Storage Europe 2020.
The French company won the award for its flexible proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis system, which has been developed as part of the MethFuel project.
The project, also named as one of the ‘Top 5 Highlights’, is a PEM electrolysis system with a nominal output of 1MW and an overload capacity of 100%.
In the future, AREVA H2Gen said the system will operate at up to 200% (up to 2MW) of nominal capacity at the site of Industriepark Höchst.
