Arda Energy utilises Shell-backed Norwegian startup’s hydrogen tech

Hydrogen Mem-Tech has agreed to integrate its hydrogen separators into Arda Energy’s portfolio of industrial gas-to-hydrogen projects.

H2 View understands that Mem-Tech’s technology will “significantly improve efficiency and output compared to more traditional hydrogen production solutions.”

In addition, the partnership will see Mem-Tech leverage Arda’s expertise in project development, finance and management and expand its market reach.

Companies such as AP Ventures, Yara Growth Ventures, Shell Ventures, Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures and SINTEF Venture back the Norwegian startup.

“Collaborating with Arda Energy opens up significant opportunities for our technology, claimed Jørgen Svare, Hydrogen Mem-Tech’s Chief Sales Officer.

Arda Energy CEO, Egil Vigdel, added, “This partnership with Hydrogen Mem-Tech not only strengthens but also formalises our already robust relationship.

“By incorporating Hydrogen Mem-Tech’s hydrogen separators, we are positioned to improve our project efficiency and speed up the global transition to sustainable energy.”

In February, H2SITE commissioned a palladium membrane separator which is said to be capable of extracting five to 20% blends of hydrogen at 99% purity.
