Ånge to host Sweden’s first hydrogen cluster with green fertiliser initiative

Lhyfe has partnered with OX2 and Velarion to create a hydrogen cluster in Ånge, Sweden, combining renewable power with large-scale hydrogen production.

OX2, one of Europe’s largest onshore wind developers, is developing a wind farm in Marktjärn that has a planned annual production capacity of 1.4TWh. H2 View understands that this project will power Lhyfe’s 300MW hydrogen production unit planned nearby in Torpshammar.

In addition to this, green fertiliser company Velarion will construct the “world’s first” carbon-neutral fertiliser plants within the cluster, which will use the produced hydrogen to create renewable ammonia for fertilisers.
