Last month (April), Amogy reached an agreement with ITOCHU to explore the potential application of ammonia cracking technologies on maritime vessels.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), ITOCHU will identify opportunities to implement Amogy’s tech onboard its owned, operated or chartered vessels. The system is capable of transforming liquid ammonia into electric power. The cracked hydrogen is then funnelled into a fuel cell for electricity generation.
