Helion Hydrogen Power is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of French train manufacturer Alstom, and has rebranded as Alstom Hydrogène.
This is following an acquisition made by Alstom to strengthen its expertise in hydrogen technology and expand its footprint within France, the company confirmed in a statement.
Completed on 1st April, the acquisition will see Alstom benefit from Helion’s expertise of creating high-power fuel cells from start to finish, including design, development, manufacturing, engineer support and customer training.
Commenting on the transaction, Jean-Baptiste Eyméoud, President of Alstom France, said, “This acquisition is an exciting development opportunity for Helion Hydrogen Power and its employees.”
