Alison Transmission has partnered with hydrogen-powered truck manufacturer Nikola to conduct testing on its Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) and battery-electric (BEV).
H2 View understands at Allison’s Electrification and Environmental Test (VE+ET) Centre in Indianapolis, US, the companies will test the performance of the BEV and FCEV performance through controlled thermal environments and dynamometer road simulations.
The tests utilised Nikola’s hydrogen refuelling equipment with a continuous supply of hydrogen supplied by the facilities to allow for uninterrupted test runs.
