Alfa Laval will begin the testing of a new methanol fuel cell system to help produce sustainable marine power.
The separation solutions company said it will begin testing of a new innovative marine fuel cell system in cooperation with Blue World Technologies, DFDS, Maersk Drilling and Hafnia.
The fuel cell system will use renewable, carbon-neutral methanol as fuel enabling clean operations with very limited emissions with the test period expected to be completed within one year.
