Air Liquide to lead 200MW flagship green hydrogen project in Normandy, France; acquires H2V Normandy

Air Liquide has acquired H2V Normandy as it looks to develop as 200MW electrolyser system to produce green hydrogen for industrial and heavy-duty mobility applications in Normandy, France.

Marking Air Liquide’s latest move in the European hydrogen sector, the industrial gas giant on Wednesday (Oct 20) said it will rename the acquired company Air Liquide Normand’Hy, after having previously owned 40% of the firm.

Upon the acquisition, Air Liquide will now lead the large-scale proton-exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyser project, dubbed Air Liquide Normand’Hy, which will be connected to a hydrogen pipeline and contribute to a low-carbon hydrogen network in the region.
