Air Liquide has partnered with the Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic games to supply hydrogen for vehicles transporting athletes and officials.
Named Official Supporter in hydrogen, the industrial gas major will supply the energy carrier to the several hundred hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirais, the official vehicle of the Games.
The company has said the hydrogen will be of renewable origin, produced for water electrolysis or biomethane, and says the supply will have guarantees of origin.
