Hydrogen station developments in Japan are soon set to increase as a result of a new partnership between Air Liquide and Itochu Corporation.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today (25th Feb) for the new collaboration that hopes to develop a competitive hydrogen supply offering with help from public authorities.
The two companies have said they will investigate more globally the opportunities to scale up the hydrogen supply chain in support of the Japan Government hydrogen roadmap, leveraging Air Liquide’s hydrogen expertise and Itochu’s large footprint across multiple energy sectors.
François Abrial, Member of the Air Liquide Group’s Executive Committee supervising Asia Pacific, said, “The fight against climate change is at the heart of Air Liquide’s strategy. Hydrogen is projected to play a key role in supporting energy transition and the emergence of a carbon-neutral society.”
