Air Liquide and Groupe ADP’s Hydrogen Airport takes off

Air Liquide and Groupe ADP have announced the creation of its ‘Hydrogen Airport’ in a joint venture (JV).

The engineering and consulting JV will specialise in supporting airports integrate the use of hydrogen as an alternative fuel within their infrastructures.

Announced during the 10th Paris Air Forum, the projects initial business development efforts will be focused on approximately 200 international and regional airports located in current or future hydrogen hubs, such as North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

The services provided includes: the estimation of the volumes required over time; the optimisation of logistics based on the specific requirements of the airport and its location; safety and carbon impact studies; and cost analysis and investment roadmap development.
