AFC Energy has announced its next generation ammonia cracker technology has successfully achieved 99.99% hydrogen from single reactor testing.
The UK’s National Physical Laboratory (NPL) was engaged to independently test the composition of hydrogen gas derived from the ammonia cracking reactor and downstream purification technology.
NPL found that the hydrogen derived from AFC Energy’s technology successfully achieved the ammonia PPB standard for fuel cell grade hydrogen, a milestone to demonstrate its potential to support the ammonia-to-power market in stationary and maritime applications.
