Hydrogen power generation technology supplier AFC Energy has announced it secured up to £4.8m ($6.1m) in funding from a UK Government grant.
The grant was awarded to AFC and consortium partners by the government’s red diesel replacement programme (RDR), and as consortium lead, the company could recover up to £4.3m ($5.5m) of the total grant, on a match funding basis.
The grant recognises the field testing of AFC’s air-cooled H-Power Tower generators on UK construction sites over the past year and will support the company to accelerate the development and commercialisation of its next generation generators.
