AECOM to deliver the technical design for bp’s Aberdeen hydrogen hub

Infrastructure consulting firm AECOM has been selected to deliver the technical design for scalable green hydrogen production at the Aberdeen Hydrogen Hub in Scotland.

Being delivered by bp Aberdeen Hydrogen Energy Limited (bpAHEL), a joint venture (JV) between bp and the Aberdeen City Council, is expected to begin hydrogen production in 2026. The JV made a final investment decision on the hub back in July (2024).
