Aberdeen’s hydrogen hub project is set to benefit from government financial support to help drive forward the roll-out of low carbon infrastructure in the city.
The Scottish Government on Friday (Oct 8) said it will commit £1m to five selected projects as part of the Green Growth Accelerator programme.
Aberdeen City Council’s hydrogen hub plan is just one project that will receive a percentage of the financial support.
Having unveiled its first plans for the hub in October 2020, the Council hopes to construct a portable hydrogen refuelling module, expand the city’s hydrogen bus fleet and convert of refuse collection vehicles to hydrogen.
