$9.2bn multi-year program to produce 1,000MW of green hydrogen

A $9.2bn new renewable energy complex, Grön Fuels, could produce 1,000MW of green hydrogen through electrolysis at the Port of Greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Such news follows an announcement made by Koch Engineered Solutions on Tuesday (20th April) that two of its companies, Optimized Process Designs (OPD) and Koch Project Solutions (KPS), have entered into an agreement to support Fidelis Infrastructure in executing and implementing components of the renewable energy complex.

Once complete, the Grön Fuels complex will be capable of producing green hydrogen, renewable diesel, sustainable aviation fuels and bio-plastic feedstocks with carbon capture also involved.
