$635m boost for hydrogen and EV infrastructure across 27 US states

The US Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has announced $635m in grants to accelerate the development of electric vehicle (EV) and hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.

H2 View understands that the grants will fund 49 projects implementing more than 11,500 EV charging ports and hydrogen and natural gas fuelling infrastructure along corridors. They will span 27 States, four federally recognised tribes and the District of Columbia.

The build-out of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure will support the nation’s goal of deploying zero-emission medium and heavy-duty vehicles to reduce diesel emissions.
