5MW refuelling plant to power South West-based hydrogen vehicles

A consortium led by Tower Group has announced plans to deliver a 5MW pilot plant in East Devon by 2026.

The Exeter H2 Hub will include mobile hydrogen refuelling capacity to supply fuel to Wales & West Utilities’ (WWU) fuel cell vehicle fleet, and it will also be open to third parties “to encourage the growth of the hydrogen economy.”

The consortium intends to apply for UK Government support in order to advance its ambitions and “make hydrogen refuelling a reality for the region.”
