500MW green hydrogen plant plans for Port of Amsterdam unveiled

The Port of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is set to gain a 500MW green hydrogen plant in a step towards the region’s hydrogen economy, in an attempt to decarbonise mobility and industry.

Hydrogen Chemistry Company (HyCC) today (July 13) launched the Project H2era which will see the company construct the plant in the Amsterdam port area, which it anticipates could be operational in 2027.

HyCC has said in cooperation with the Port of Amsterdam, it has completed a first feasibility study, with plans to deepen the project’s developments in the company months with a pre-front end engineering design (FEED) study.
