A 4MW pressurised alkaline electrolyser, connected to a renewable energy park in Carlentini, Sicily, is set to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors in Italy with green hydrogen.
French hydrogen production and distribution equipment specialist McPhy has said it will supply the electrolyser from its Augmented McLyzer range as part of a newly inked agreement with Enel Green Power.
As well as producing green hydrogen for hard-to-abate sectors, the electrolyser will also supply hydrogen for a power-to-gas system.
