Leicestershire-based, Clean Air Power, announced today (May 18) it is to supply hydrogen injection technology on a UK Innovate Smart Grant to demonstrate modified combustion engines using hydrogen.
The £2m ($2.48m) funded project, in partnership with Ford Motor Company will aim to show the technology required to modify conventional internal combustion engines (ICE) to replace fossil fuels with hydrogen.
Clean Air Power will engineer, design and manufacture injection technology to be used in light commercial vehicles, that will open the potential for rolling out hydrogen power across similar vehicle engines.
