As part of an intergovernmental initiative working to accelerate clean energy innovation, 100 Clean Hydrogen Valleys have been identified by 2024 to demonstrate hydrogen value chains which could stimulate $90bn of public-private investment.
Mission Innovation, made up of 23 national governments and the European Union announced plans to deliver 221 demonstration projects in a hope to accelerate clean energy technologies in the hardest to abate sectors this decade.
Under the plans, the 100 Clean Hydrogen Valleys are hoped to drive down the cost of clean hydrogen, as well as stimulating significant clean hydrogen capacity.
