Levidian Nanosystems and United Utilities were among the 22 organisations to be awarded a chunk of the UK Government’s Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy’s $5m ($6.08m) funding for its Hydrogen BECCS Innovation Programme Phase 1.

The companies have revealed they were granted £212,000 ($256,222) for a project to utilise biogas from wastewater treatment as a fully sustainable feedstock to produce hydrogen and graphene through the Levidian LOOP process.
