$127.9m boost for zero emissions vehicles in Australia

Australia is committed to cutting emissions from its transportation sector, having launched a $127.9m funding programme to support the shift to zero emissions vehicles, such as those powered by hydrogen, over the next four years.

Unveiled on Saturday (Feb 19) by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) on the behalf of the Australian Government, the Future Fuels Programme will see funding dedicated to the roll-out of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and the supporting infrastructure.

As a whole, the effort will operate as a competitive, open and ongoing programme that will both support vehicle operators and the various decarbonisation goals set out by the Australian Government.
