Shell’s Energy and Chemicals Park in Rhineland, Germany, will soon be home to a 100MW electrolyser for green hydrogen production.
An effort being carried out by the REFHYNE 2 consortium, comprised of ITM Power, Shell, SINTEF, Sphera and Element Energy, the electrolyser is set to benefit both fuel cell electric buses and refinery processes.
In a social media post, ITM Power today (Jan 5) confirmed that the project has now secured a grant from CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency – to push forward to development.
