Plans have been unveiled for a major green hydrogen and solar PV development in Australia.
The announcement comes as EEW, an international developer of utility-scale solar PV projects, last week (10th March) entered the hydrogen market with the $0.5bn project.
Unveiling its new venture, EEW said it plans to build upon its existing 300MW PV asset located in Raglan near the Port of Gladstone, Queensland, and combine it with its new project to produce renewable energy for green hydrogen products.
Such dreams will become a reality through the development of a 200MW hydrogen plant with a further 100MW allocated to energy storage. Once fully operational, it is hoped the plant will produce 33,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year.
