There are arguably few regions as synonymous with hydrogen energy as Oceania and Australia in particular. It’s difficult to have conversations around hydrogen without Australia very quickly emerging in that dialogue. This has long been the case. Yet it’s been a year of significant progress in various geographies and not least in Europe, with various countries unveiling new strategies, funding and support – crowned by the longawaited announcement of the EU Hydrogen Strategy in July. Europe has, in many ways, stolen the headlines in 2020 as a result.
