We have ambitious, but equally imperative goals to meet in our efforts to combat climate change and a pressing need to overcome our dependence on fossil fuels.
The increasingly universal consensus is that to ultimately reach these greenhouse gas (GHG) emission targets, large parts of our existing energy system need to be transitioned towards renewable energy, and hydrogen as a key part of that.
We need the political will to make the Hydrogen Economy a success story, and this is gradually being realised. We need government funding for research and development and for projects that demonstrate the feasibility of hydrogen use in the mobility and energy sectors, as well as simplified approval procedures for hydrogen applications to match.
