The common misconception of TEAL Mobility is that its name represents both of its major stakeholders – TotalEnergies and Air Liquide. But in fact, it originated from the European migration bird, the Common Teal.
“This is a compelling symbol for a network because of the relationship between a bird and transportation,” TEAL Mobility CEO, Florentin de Loppinot, told H2 View.
In addition, he said the teal colour branding characterises the two most common forms of hydrogen production, green and blue. Despite being publicly announced at the 2023 Hyvolution event, the company’s registration was concluded by February 14, 2024 – Valentine’s Day – an “appropriate day for the coming together of these two companies and the creation of TEAL Mobility.”
