It’s easy to forget, amid all the headlines surrounding the US Inflation Reduction Act and European Commission policy developments, that hydrogen activity extends across the world – not least in the sizeable 14-country Oceania region in the southern hemisphere.
Leading the renewables charge is Australia, which is starting to realise its abundant solar and minerals potential, with policy and market announcements coming through by the day.
Most eye-catching is the A$2bn set to be channelled into the Hydrogen Headstart programme, which was recently included in the Federal Government’s package of spending measures within its 2023/24 Budget.
