First established in 1927 by Norsk Hydro, beginning life as a renewable hydrogen producer for the fertiliser business, before deciding to develop hydrogen fuelling stations and electrolysers for the production of renewable hydrogen, Nel is undoubtably one of the major players in the market.
To catch up on the company’s latest developments, H2 View spoke to Nel’s Chief Technology Officer, Marius Løken, who joined the company in June this year (2023). He claimed the company will be amongst the winners of the industry in the future.
Thanks for taking the time to speak with us today, Marius. Firstly, as an electrolyser manufacturer, Nel would understand the challenges standing in the way of the widescale adoption of hydrogen, one of them being cost. How has the company dealt with these roadblocks and what can be done moving forward?
