Formed in 2020, Hydrologiq set out to find economically viable solutions to reduce carbon footprints for off-grid energy and non-road mobile machinery through accelerating the transition to hydrogen powered alternatives.
Company Co-Founder Aran Bates claimed hydrogen has a ‘sweet spot’ in off-grid spaces, with high asset utilisation and high energy demand, with diesel generator use being especially suitable.
Bates said, “We want to affect change the quickest. That’s one of the missions of Hydrologiq, not just transitioning to Net Zero, but accelerate that pace.”
In the past, Hydrologiq has deployed generators at UK festival Boomtown Fair, two National Highways construction sites in Lancashire, UK, (one with Kier and the other with Costain) and at the Aberdeen City Hydrogen Energy Site (ACHES) in Scotland, UK.
