While Honeywell may be renowned in industrial gases, the US conglomerate is stepping up its activity in the hydrogen space, seeing particular potential in blue or low-carbon hydrogen.
“We’re seeing an emergence that low-carbon hydrogen needs to play a role as well,” Willie Coetzee, Director of Government Relations and Business Development for Honeywell’s Sustainable Technology Solutions business, told H2 View.
Many of the conversations heard across policy and technology have focused on the production, regulation and use of green hydrogen, but Coetzee said low-carbon hydrogen could be used to drive the scale at the speed required to meet climate goals.
