Made up of Daimler Truck AG, Iveco Group, Linde, Shell, bp, TotalEnergies and Volvo Group, H2Accelerate has been at work for over three years to catalyse the use of low-carbon hydrogen in trucking across Europe.
The collaboration’s website says it will work to seek public funding opportunities, provide an evidence base on hydrogen-fuelled trucking, and communicate with policymakers. But by sitting down with some of the players involved, its ambitions go much further.
Since its launch in December 2020, what started as a walk has become a steady march towards realising hydrogen-powered trucking.
