Founded in 2020, Verne entered the hydrogen industry with the aim of decarbonising heavy-duty transport with its cryo-compressed hydrogen (CcH2) technology.
More recently, the company signed a landmark partnership with ZeroAvia to evaluate the opportunities for CcH2 in hydrogen-powered flight.
The CcH2 would be used onboard aircraft and for conducting the associated refuelling from either gaseous and liquid hydrogen sources.
During demonstrations at Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) last December (2023), Verne achieved a storage record with its CcH2 solution. With a capacity of 29kg, previous records for CcH2 were tripled.
