In January this year, Sweden’s Alleima secured a deal to supply high-temperature pre-coating material to South Korea’s Doosan Fuel Cell for use in its solid oxide (SOFC) solutions.
The deal marked the culmination of years of evaluation, development, and trust, according to key figures from Alleima’s Surface Technology business unit, who have played crucial roles in the partnership.
Under the SEK 160m ($14.5m) agreement, the manufacturer, formed out of Sandvik Group, will supply critical components for solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) systems, designed to operate at high temperatures between 500–700°C, ensuring optimal efficiency and performance.
