Green hydrogen is a promising and viable path to decarbonisation, proven by global interest and investment. In the last few years, a wave of new policies has begun to pave the way for widespread adoption of the sustainable energy carrier, and OEMs are producing the electrolysers, fuel cells and fueling equipment that will drive it.
However, there’s still much work to be done to make that path a road. While today’s technology is ready to safely produce, store, move and use green hydrogen, manufacturing enough of it to build the global ecosystem remains a challenge.
Successfully scaling up production across the hydrogen value chain will require commitment from hydrogen providers and consumers alike. There are five critical factors that hydrogen providers, including OEMs, can focus on to do their part.
