The complexity of connecting hydrogen producers to users to enable the renewable fuel to support decarbonisation has been flagged to UK Government, as part of a paper recently published by the Hydrogen Energy Association (HEA).
The Role for Transport and Storage in Delivering the Hydrogen Transition report was authored by the Association’s Hydrogen Transportation and Storage Working Group.
It calls on the Government to take accelerated action so hydrogen can be maximised as part of the UK energy strategy. A key recommendation outlined includes innovation around high-capacity virtual pipeline solutions – an area Luxfer Gas Cylinders has recently invested in.
