Bosch: Going beyond hydrogen mobility

On the day Bosch announced the mass-production of its PEM fuel cell modules for mobility applications, H2 View was invited to the multinational’s Stuttgart-Feuerbach plant in Germany, to explore how the manufacturer, best known for its power tools and whitegoods, was taking a huge step into hydrogen.

However, as my 24 hours in Stuttgart confirmed, taking in the numerous talks, tours and technology demonstrations, Bosch is now a name we should all be associating with hydrogen too.

In the words of Markus Heyn, Member of the Board of Management and Chair of Bosch Mobility, “Bosch is one of the very few companies that is capable of mass-producing technology as complex as fuel cell stacks. We don’t just have the required systems expertise, but also the capability of quickly scaling up new developments of mass production.”
